Emergency Department Physicians File Class Action
A group of California physicians has filed a class action lawsuit against the state of California, claiming reimbursement mechanisms for the State’s Emergency Departments are fundamentally flawed and pushing the entire state’s health system toward potential collapse. Filed by the firm Kiesel Boucher Larson, the lawsuit claims that the state has unfairly shifted the cost burden of providing emergency care from the state to the emergency department physicians. Dennis Sato Assumes Key Role at Telecare Corporation
Mr. Sato, formerly with Salem Hospital Regional Health Services, has assumed the Chief Information Officer role at the Alameda-based mental health services provider. Telecare provides support and services to more than 50 programs in California, Texas, Nebraska, Oregon and North Carolina.
